american designer eric stoddard is once again hoping to sway car drivers to take up riding smaller more
sustainable vehicles like the three-wheeled trikE. since many cities are beginning to orient their urban
planning around bike transportation, cycling is becoming a more viable everyday option. while
stoddard’s previous concept autovelo aims to fill a similar role, the trikE is more elaborate, taking the
concept one step further. the bike is easy to handle since it is always balanced on its three wheels and
comes with almost complete weather protection. the bike is driven by an electric-assist HPV giving it
a top speed of 20mph. there is even some storage space for cargo and a lean-steering make the trikE
nimble on curves.
