Eclipse's standout mouse designs

In his WTF Podcast the veteran comedian Marc Maron often laments on the boring standardization of contemporary comedians: If he goes into any comedy club and closes his eyes, he states, based on their material and delivery he has difficulty telling one comic from another.

That's kind of how we feel about computer peripherals--take a look at the lineup of computer mice in a Best Buy or Staples and you'll see what we mean. But one company retaining a distinct aesthetic is Eclipse, with their brushed-aluminum TouchMouse and die-cast-frame Mobile Mouse, below.

The former features an omnidirectional touch surface for scrolling, and the latter folds flat for portability but features an adjustable "leg" that allows you to change the mouse angle, adding the feel of a beefier mouse.

LG전자 넷하드 NC1 - N2R1DD2 (2TB) 사용기

회사 사무실에서 그동안 작업해둔 파일들을 백업하기 위해 고심끝에 마련한 제품.

 

엘지 넷하드 NC1- N2R1DD2 (2TB) 제품.

 

원래 USB타입의 외장하드를 여러개 살려다가 개인적으로 넷하드를 한번 사용해보고 싶어서 구입한 제품이다.

 

연결하는데 시간이 오래걸리지 않았지만

새로운 인터페이스를 익히는데 사용설명서의 내용만 보고서는 좀 힘들었지만,

일단 전원부터 넣고 보는 나 로선 직접 경험해보면서 배우는게 젤 편했다.

 

전원 넣고 동봉된 CD로 프로그램 설치후에 네트워크에 물리니 금세 잡았다.

 

2Tera 바이트를 각각 1Tera 바이트씩해서 두하드에 자동으로 백업해주는 기능도 있지만, 그냥 2Tera를 다 사용하고 싶어서 볼륨설정은 각각 하고 포맷시작..

 

한 20분뒤에 설정이 완료되고 첫 접속을

해보니 와.... 속도 엄청빠르네..

 

일단 첫 인상은 대 만족..

 

무엇보다 DVD가 달려있어 백업해둔 내용을 손쉽게 DVD로 백업하는 기능이 있는게 정말 맘에 든다.

 

우리같이 디자인은 하는 사람들에게는

정말 꼭 필요한 제품인듯..

 

그리고 젤 강추 하는 기능은 FTP설정으로 웹하드로도 쓸수 있다는 점..

 

밖에 돌아다니다가도 내 하드에 있는 내용이 필요하면 인터넷으로 접근하여 데이터에 접근이 가능하다.

 

앞으로 넷하드가 널리 보급되면 아마 국내 웹하드 기업들은 다 문 닫게 될거 같다.

 

한가지 아쉬운점은 뒤쪽 포트에 USB 연결하는 포트가 있어서 랜선으로 연결이 불가능할때 USB라도 연결이 되었으면 하는것이다.

Karim Rashid's got a thing for patterns, as evidenced in his new line of metal tiles for Australian manufacturer Alloy. Punched from individual sheets of 1.6mm stainless steel, copper, brass, titanium and raw steel, the quirky, Karim-signature shape of the tiles experience a sort of aesthetic growth when bunched together into patterns.
