Laikingland is a creative collaboration based in both the UK and The Netherlands, whose intention is to design and manufacture beautifully crafted kinetic objects that engage, and evoke a sense of play and nostalgia. Their most recent product are the Magnet Mobiles by Ivan Black, which consist of lightweight rotating forms that spiral around magnet and ball bearing mechanisms. The near frictionless mechanisms allow the Magnet Mobiles to be activated with a simple light blow.

아래 형상이 가능하도록 하는 VPF technology 에대해 곰곰히 연구해 봐야 겠네요.

cheungvogl is a young international architectural practice led by chinese-canadian
architect judy cheung and architect christoph vogl. they have sent us images of their
recent work 'umarmung' a floor-sitting couch. the gradual curved profile follows contours
of the body whether it is sitting up straight or leaning back.

it is made with reinforced polyester resin complete with steel support, covered with
eco-friendly flame-retardant polyurethane foam. the process adopts the latest variable
pressure foaming (VPF) technology.

the archive contains an extensive amount of material (models, products, drawings, photographs,
documents, equipment and tools) from the giovanni sacchi workshop, which was active through
1997 and originally located in via sirtori in the city center of milan.



the archive of giovanni sacchi's model-making workshop has currently a collection of
67 architectural models, 366 models, prototypes and phases in the development of design objects,
8000 drawings, 110 products, and approximately 9000 photographs and films. in addition,
250 folders of documents (descriptions, letters, bills etc.) and a large number of tools, machines
and equipment for mechanical processing and woodworking.

an entire working environment has been reconstructed for educational purposes,
completed by an area equipped with new machinery where it will be possible to organize
model-making workshops with teachers, students and professionals.

'love connection' cell phone concept by joongho choi

korean designer joonho choi has sent us images of his new cell phone concept
named 'love connection'. influenced by yin and yang energies, the phone consists of
two devices connected by a retractable cord.
linked the two devices work as a cell phone consisting of an LCD touch screen monitor
a camera and mp3 player. when they are split, one part can still work as a phone while
the other can work as a mp3 player.

우리 어릴적  스케치북에 크레파스로 그림을 그리고 검정색으로 전부 칠한다음

날카로운 송곳으로 스크래치를 내어 표현했던 것과 같은 원리..

previously we wrote an article on french design aissa logerot who developed 'halo' an
LED light spray. now, sweatshoppe has taken this LED technology to the streets on a different level.
the collective made up of video artist bruno levy and blake shaw who are also multimedia performers,
use video mapping techniques as a means of video painting onto walls through the use of
a paint roller. the only catch is, the paint roller doesn't actually paint anything onto the wall.
instead it is made from green LEDs which work in conjunction with a camera next to a projector
which is programmed with software that tracks its movements. the software then outputs
the X-Y position of the roller projecting a textured video image of the strokes the duo are
drawing on a wall. this interactive technology allows them to explore the relationship between video,
mark making and architecture.

american designer darien lee has snet us in image of his recent project 'bubble clox'.
each clock is a metal sphere and are about the size of a softball. citrus orange, berry-blu,
kiwi lime and bubblegum pink are the colors that they are available in.
